Abstract

Many studies made in African context, on the trademark issue, have been based on the theoretical question related to trademark law, the revision of agreements, the relevant Law for Africans, etc. However, the knowledge and the use of trademarks by small and medium enterprises remain a big issue to be assessed by researchers. This article is focused on a specific case of trademark culture in African’s small and medium enterprises. The concept is defined and clarified in the first hand, and in the second hand, the components of trademark culture are evoked. This paper is of great interest to public administration and the private sector which wants to promote SMEs. The author shows in simple terms how the growth of African’s SMEs is possible by implementing and applying the trademark culture.
