RELIGIOUS CRISIS AND NATIONAL SECURITY IN NIGERIA

This paper discusses Religious Crisis And National Security In Nigeria. The Nigerian Nation has undergone series of devastating religious crises some of which have had ethnic coloration. It has subsequently led to the destruction of lives and property which has also constituted a major threat to the nation’s unity, invariably affecting its national security imperatives, procedures and
structure; thus highlighting the non-existence of a concise national security strategy and policy in Nigeria. This chapter intends to discuss the factors that have warranted such and to proffer solutions.
