Nitrogen Hypoxia for Execution: The Controversy

Nitrogen hypoxia is a newly introduced execution method whereby an accused is made to inhale nitrogen through a mask which makes it difficult to breathe, depriving a person of oxygen which ultimately results in death. Recently, Alabama became the first country to use this method on death row convict Kenneth Smith. In this article, i attempt to discuss and explain this method, its knows disadvantages and whether it can be introduced in India.
