Abstract

The acceptance of same-sex by the Indian legal system is a new phenomenon. However, there is no legislation that gives any strong legality to the common household of the same-sex couple. The objective of the article is to find whether there is any possibility of any legally recognized common household for the same. Also, when the question of common household arises, so arises the question of obligations and one such obligation is the right obe maintenance. The article being one of the first to address this question is based on presidents set by previous judicial decisions, can be said to have found the answer to the same.
