Abstract

Social attitude to the role of women lags much behind the law, a bitter truth of today’s era. India is a diverse country. A paradise where it is claimed that everyone is treated equally. But does that equality is really manifested in reality. The answer to this question is No. India is country where working Indian women face much more challenges than men and women from other parts of the world. There is no hiding to the fact that the role of women in our society has changed these days. As females can be seen as higher in employment, CEO, fighter jet pilots, Head of Customer Services, Banking, Heads of Finance, HR, Executives and Telecom, etc. In each industry, women make a tremendous contribution. The women are also the foundation of the family's social and cultural life. Not only men are known as bread earners in the household. Economic aid to family members is given by women as well in today's scenario. Although the percentage of working women in India is increasing with the passage of time, still there are some obstacles that they have to suffer at some point. Across women’s various roles in domestic and professional life, she is solely responsible for balancing her duties. This makes working women's lives extremely stressful. The instant research paper aims to analyse the problems of working women in India so as to identify the root causes that are preventing women employees from aspiring for higher posts and services.
