Abstract

The role of education in empowering women and closing the gender gap is crucial for achieving gender equality and fostering economic development. Education has been instrumental in closing the gender gap in enrolment, especially in primary and secondary education, and has contributed to empowering women across a range of countries. Despite notable advancements, obstacles like poverty, ethnicity, and geographical location still impede women’s access to education in certain areas. Therefore, promoting greater gender equality in education not only boosts female labor force participation and economic growth but also ensures strong, sustainable, and balanced economic growth in the future.
