The Impact of Work-Life Balance Policies on Women’s Empowerment in the IT Sector

In today’s world India is a major force in the global economy because of the talented and educated Indian workforce. The roles of both men and women have undergone significant transformations in recent years. There are more women than ever in the workforce now with noticeable, increased educational attainment and changing lifestyle trends. Many individuals in the information technology (IT) sector face considerable pressure to manage their work and personal commitments, with achieving a work-life balance is a significant concern for both companies and professionals. Professional and personal life are two sides of the same coin, the imbalance between the two leads to things like stress, poor performance, deteriorating health, time management issues, and lack of social support. The present study examines some of the factors affecting stress and work-life balance among female IT professionals. The findings of the study show that there is no significant association between the age of female IT professionals and stress levels, but there is a positive association between female IT professionals working late nights and stress.
