Abstract

Prisoners right to vote means if any person is convicted the he has no more right to vote. In India any person who is convicted or a criminal can contest in any election for member of legislative assembly or Member of Parliament but they cannotcast their vote in any election.  In everywhere throughout the world there are a lot of nations who given the privilege to detainees additionally approx 78 countries offered ideal to detainees to standing their vote. It is a human right of detainee to position their votes in elections.It is a harsh truth in India that any criminal can move toward becoming MLA and MP and yet they cannot take an investment in the decision. Legislature of India should make an enactment to permit the detainee ideal to cast a vote.
