JCGIBL Scope

Journal of Corporate Governance and International Business Law is a peer-reviewed Journal. In a broad sense, corporate governance is about how firms should be governed so that they run effectively and efficiently. This Journal takes a broad perspective on corporate governance mechanisms and considers possible synergies between corporate governance and international business (IB) research.

• Corporate Governance and Board Accountability: Research on governance structures, board composition, director duties, board independence, accountability, transparency, fiduciary responsibilities, executive oversight, and the effectiveness of corporate decision-making mechanisms.
• International Business Law and Cross-Border Transactions: Studies on the legal frameworks governing international trade and business operations, cross-border contracts, foreign investment, international commercial transactions, multinational enterprises, and regulatory issues affecting companies operating across jurisdictions.
• Corporate Compliance and Regulatory Governance: Research on corporate compliance systems, statutory obligations, internal controls, regulatory enforcement, disclosure requirements, risk management, corporate investigations, and mechanisms for ensuring responsible business conduct.
