Criminal Justice System & Social Defence

Criminal Justice System in India is the system or the court for criminals to fight for a trail. This system ensures the law and order in the country.

The Criminal Justice System was introduced to preserve the peace and suppress crime. The criminal justice system works in a variety of ways, including:

State Criminal Justice: This body is in charge of a specific state and the crimes that occur there.

Federal Criminal Justice: This body is in charge of India's federal territory as well as the issues of one or more states.

As a result, these are the two ways a criminal trial can be handled by the judiciary. As a result, the criminal matters in that boundary are under the jurisdiction of that area.

Entry of the case into the system is followed by prosecution and pretrial, which is then followed by the Trail process, also known as adjudication, which is then followed by Post-Trial. As a result, the procedure for the Justice System must be followed. The criminal justice system's goals are as follows:

To maintain Law and Order in society.
To punish the criminals.
Prevent the offender from committing a crime in the future.
Prevent Occurrence of crime.

As a result, the Criminal Justice System accomplishes these objectives. The criminal justice system benefits the poor because it is based on the law for the poor.
