Challenges in Construction Project Management

Abstract

Good construction project management plays a key role in completing construction projects, but it comes with many hurdles. This paper looks into the main problems project managers face in construction such as issues with project scope managing time controlling costs, and assigning resources. This simply illustrates the necessity for better communication, more agile risk management strategies and new ways of working to curb a project's ever evolving nature. This research provides extensive examination in these challenges, thusly a contribution to enabling better project management practices within the construction industry. The construction industry in India encounters various challenges that affect the efficiency of project management. These challenges comes from both internal and external factors of construction operations. The key issues includes-Skilled labor shortages, Managing tight deadlines, Budget Limitations, Navigating complex legal framework, Environmental Concerns etc.
