Challenges in Construction Project Management

Abstract

Good construction project management plays a key role in completing construction projects, but it comes with many hurdles. This paper investigates the main problems project managers face in construction, such as issues with project scope managing time controlling costs and assigning resources. This simply illustrates the necessity for better communication, more agile risk management
strategies, and new ways of working to curb a project’s ever-evolving nature. This research provides an extensive examination of these challenges, thus a contributing to enabling better project management practices within the construction industry. The construction industry in India encounters various challenges that affect the efficiency of project management. These challenges come from both internal and external factors of construction operations. The key issues include skilled labor shortages, managing tight deadlines, budget limitations, navigating complex legal frameworks, environmental concerns, etc.
