Abstract

The Earth and its seas are shielded from harm by a coating of ice. The globe stays colder because of these brilliant white regions that reflect more heat back into space. The ice in the Arctic reflects more heat from the sun back into space, which helps to keep the region colder than the equator. With their longevity ranging from several hundred to several thousand years, glaciers provide a scientific record of changes in climate throughout time. Scientists get important information on the magnitude of the rapidly occurring global warming by examining them. Ocean currents are impacted by the fast melting of glaciers in Greenland and Antarctica because the vast volumes of cold water that melts glaciers reach warmer ocean waters and slow the currents down. In addition, sea levels keep rising as land ice melts. This paper focuses on the environment pollution and life on land SDG 15 impact
assessment on melting glaciers and high rise sea level.
