Abstract

The environmental challenges facing our planet require strong governance mechanisms to ensure sustainable development and the protection of natural resources. The advancement of environmental rule of law has emerged as a critical approach to address these challenges effectively. This paper explores the role of courts in advancing environmental governance through the empowerment of judicial systems. The paper begins by examining the concept of environmental rule of law, highlighting its significance in achieving effective environmental governance. It underscores the need for robust legal frameworks, institutional capacity building, and public participation to strengthen environmental rule of law.
