Abstract

One of the biggest concerns in today's society is climate change. Billions of people all over the globe are impacted by human-caused climate change. Environmental threats, such as air pollution, overfishing in the oceans, hazardous garbage, and deforestation, are common examples of "problems without passports", or difficulties that cut across national boundaries. No country is immune, and
without international collaboration, no country can resolve these problems on its own. An estimated 41 individuals are forced to leave their households every minute as a result of extreme weather, further as temperatures rise, the most defenceless people in the world will suffer the most. This study aims to emphasise on consequences of ecological conversion on the status of individuals, International legal protection and State’s responsibility, and necessary suggestions to improve the status of displaced individuals as the result of climate change.
