An Analysis of Financial Performance of Infosys and Wipro Using Descriptive Statistics: During 2017–18 to 2021–22

Abstract

This article presents the statistical analyses of the financial performance of two IT companies named INFOSYS and Wipro on the basis of their annual financial reports for the period 2017–2018 to 2021–2022. The whole study is based on the objective of analyzing the liquidity position, profitability position, capital structure, and working capital position of both IT companies. In this study, the descriptive statistics of both companies. The analysis shows that (a) due to more use of outside debt, it has increased the interest burden on Wipro and led to an unsatisfactory situation. (b) It has also founded that the liquidity position is not up to the accepted level because of more current liabilities. (c) The capital structure shows that Wipro uses more outside debt than equity. It is suggested that Wipro increase internal debt, increase production levels, control operation costs, and adopt a forward integration
strategy to expand the market.
