This essay examines the intricate relationship between law and juvenile delinquency, highlighting the equilibrium between ensuring accountability for young offenders and facilitating rehabilitation possibilities. It looks at the laws that regulate juvenile justice and points out the differences between punishment and rehabilitation. Using case studies and recent research, the article looks at how social, psychological, and family factors affect delinquent behaviour. It also looks into how well diversion programs, restorative justice efforts, and second-chance policies work to lower recidivism and help young people grow in a constructive way. The paper contends that a sophisticated legislative framework—one that maintains responsibility while emphasising rehabilitation—can reform the juvenile justice system into a structure that not only deters criminal behaviour but also fosters social reintegration and individual development.
