Abstract

The recent revisions to the Forest (Conservation) Act represent a significant milestone in environmental law. This study conducts an in-depth examination of the recent modifications, investigating their potential impact on biodiversity preservation, sustainable development, and community involvement. Ranging from the enlargement of protected zones to the assimilation of cutting-edge technology, these amendments strive to confront present-day challenges while steadfastly safeguarding our crucial forest ecosystems. The amendments, ranging from the expansion of protected zones to the assimilation of cutting-edge technology, signify a paradigm shift in the Act’s approach. The enlargement of protected areas, a cornerstone of the amendments, goes beyond
conventional conservation methods, acknowledging the intricate interconnections between diverse ecosystems. This shift underscores the imperative for holistic conservation strategies that consider the broader ecological landscape.
