Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in large disruptions in various business activities and insurance industry is no different. The industry has gone through various challenges during the pandemic but they have come over all the challenges and offered quality services to all the policy holders through e-platforms. The regulator(IRDAI) was very active all through the process and took various stepts to protect the interest of the policyholders and keep insurance market on track with the ongoing developements in regard to COVID-19. The research paper analyzes all such challenges which have been faced by the insurance sector, directives issued by the regulator and the steps insurance sector has taken to service policyholders in the best way possible.
